What is Type 2 Diabetes?
Type 2 diabetes is when your body can’t make enough insulin. Or it means your body can't use the insulin well. Insulin helps your cells use sugar (glucose) for energy. Without insulin, glucose builds up in your blood. This leads to high blood sugar.
What is Type 1 Diabetes?
In type 1 diabetes, the body can’t make insulin. Insulin is needed to help sugar (glucose) enter cells for energy. Without insulin, glucose builds up in the blood. This causes high blood glucose or high blood sugar.
